The Scientific Library’s collection has been enriched with a new textbook
N.B. Yermukhanova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Educational Program in Electric Power Engineering, Technosphere Safety and Ecology at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, together with Z.A. Baimakhanova, Senior Lecturer and Candidate of Technical Sciences, donated their jointly authored work to the University’s Scientific Library.
The textbook provides a comprehensive overview of modelling natural and man-made hazard sources in the technosphere. It presents methods for forecasting and assessing earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, fires, radiation, chemical and hydrodynamic accidents, as well as explosions.
In addition, the textbook offers mathematical models for protecting crowded facilities from emergencies. It enables undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, as well as industry professionals, to study safety issues from a scientific perspective.
